The majority of our resources are dedicated towards investments in the private equity, public equity, real estate, and lending markets. In these markets EFO's principals have applied a consistent and structured framework for investing that has proven itself to be considerably effective. The key tenets of our investment approach are:
Extensive Southwest/Southeast Presence
The principals of EFO have considerable business and investment experience in the southwest and southeastern US. As a result, the firm boasts an extensive network through which to source investment prospects with high potential for success.
Commitment to establishing effective partnerships and backing owner/operators and executives who have a track record of success, a well articulated vision for creating value and a desire to own, manage and build a business.
Targeting Large and growing industries with favorable business fundamentals. Within these industries and markets we support management teams and owner/operators in building large, sustainable enterprises.
Post-Investment Discipline
EFO is an active investor, developing a collaborative relationship with its business partners. While EFO generally has control, it strives for a consensus building decision process established through constant communication, value-added involvement and periodic board meetings. EFO typically adds value by 1) professionalizing the organization, 2) helping identify and fill management needs, 3) refining and monitoring growth and operational strategies, and 4) helping define and execute exit strategies. While managed separately from EFO Holdings, EFO Private Equity is able to leverage the considerable resources available to the firm as part of the EFO Holdings affiliation and may even utilize EFO Holdings' accounting, financial and management experience when necessary.
Entrepreneurial Culture
As an 'owner/entrepreneur' itself, EFO is particularly skilled at creating a partnership approach in 1st institutional investment scenarios - a favorable factor with companies that may originally be wary of outside capital.
